OLD MONEY & FILM Inspired wedding Photography in Italy

Photography, to me, goes beyond simply taking beautiful pictures in stunning locations. It’s about creating something much deeper and more personal. Before I even pick up the camera, I want to get to know you, to understand your story and the essence of who you are as a couple.

That’s why I always start with a call, where we discuss your vision and ideas, and together, we create a shared mood board. We’ll also carefully plan outfits that perfectly align with our creative direction, ensuring every detail resonates with your personalities and the authentic vibe of Italy.

I am more than just a photographer for you—I’m a storyteller, a collaborator, and a guide on this creative journey.

I'm Darya, your Wedding Film Photographer in Italy. There’s something magical about film photography—it’s more than just capturing a moment; it’s about embracing its soul. The soft grain, the rich textures, and those beautifully imperfect details have a way of telling stories that feel authentic and timeless.

For me, film photography is an art form that slows everything down. Each frame matters, each click of the shutter is intentional. In a world that’s often too fast, film brings a sense of calm and purpose. It allows me to focus on the emotions, the fleeting glances, and the little moments that make your wedding day truly yours.

WEDDING DAY

What types of film do you use, and why?
On wedding days, I work with a variety of films and cameras, chosen based on the atmosphere and lighting conditions. However, my absolute favorites are Kodak Portra 400 and Kodak Portra 800. The texture and color these films produce are simply stunning, adding a unique and beautiful quality to each shot.

How many rolls of film will you use on my wedding day?
Every wedding is unique, so the number of film rolls I use depends on how many film photos you'd like from your day. I always discuss this with each couple beforehand to ensure I capture the moments that matter most to you.

Do you shoot both film and digital?
Yes, I shoot both film and digital. Digital allows me to back up your images securely, while film adds a timeless, unique touch to your wedding gallery. My goal is to capture and preserve your memories in the best possible way, blending both mediums for a beautiful, lasting result.

What is your process for developing and scanning film?
For film development and scanning, I collaborate with trusted professional labs known for their high-quality processing. After your wedding, I send the rolls to the lab for meticulous development. Once processed, the images are scanned at high resolution and made available for you to download in digital format from your online photo gallery.

What happens if something goes wrong with the film?
In the rare event that something goes wrong with the film, I have backup plans in place to ensure your memories are preserved. I shoot with both film and digital cameras, and I also carry multiple film cameras to provide extra security. Digital backups offer an additional safety net, ensuring no important moments are missed. Plus, I work with professional labs known for their high-quality processing and quality control measures to minimize any risk. My goal is always to deliver beautiful, timeless photos that you’ll cherish.

While my love for film photography is undeniable, on your wedding day, I use both digital and film cameras to ensure I capture every moment. My main priority is preserving your memories, no matter the medium. Digital photography allows me to securely back up your images on two memory cards, so there's no risk of losing anything. At the same time, the film cameras add a distinctive, timeless feel to your wedding gallery, creating a beautiful blend of classic and modern memories that will last for generations.

Fueled by a deep love for art, movies and human connections, I left my civil engineering job to follow my true passion - photography. Through my lens, I create moments with precious significance, ensuring each image resonates uniquely for the couples in love I capture.

Film photography creates images with a classic, enduring beauty. The soft grain, natural tones, and organic textures feel like they belong to a cherished era, giving your wedding photos a timeless quality that will remain captivating for generations.

Film captures moments with depth and emotion, creating images that feel raw and genuine. Each frame tells a story, highlighting the natural beauty of your day with a unique artistry that’s impossible to replicate with digital photography.

Film photography encourages a slower, more thoughtful approach. Every shot is carefully composed, ensuring the tiniest details—like the way the sunlight filters through your veil or the tenderness of a fleeting glance—are captured with care and intention.

There’s a dreamy quality to film that evokes a sense of nostalgia and romance. Whether it’s the warmth of golden hour or the intimacy of a quiet moment, film photography transforms ordinary scenes into extraordinary memories that take you back in time.

No two film photographs are the same. The unpredictable magic of film—like subtle light leaks or natural grain—makes each image truly unique. Your wedding album will have a personality and charm that feels as special as your love story.

Film photos aren’t just images; they’re keepsakes meant to last. The timeless elegance and craftsmanship of film make your wedding memories something to treasure and share, becoming part of your family’s legacy for years to come.
